Japanese delicatessen

Authentic japanese food at a reasonable price. The ramen reminds me of my trip in Japan and the desserts are amazing. I've returned to this restaurant on multiple occassions and consistently delivers the goods.

This is the best Japanese food I've eaten in a long time and for a good price too. I don't have a photo of the food because I inhaled it all within a second, Highly recommend this place and well done to the Hiro staff.

Fast and Tasty Japanese food!They have a really refreshing Bento Box which includes a seaweed salad and ginger which contrasts really nicely with the meat and rice of the meal.Well done Takoyaki for an ok priceThey only do take away but it's super fast

Generally sushi here is good but it was a bit smelly today. King fish and tuna sashimi were not eatable fresh... so decided to cook it to eat. Please do not serve sashimi if they are not fresh as they can make people sick... but I still love u.*** I am editing my review based on your reply. I am not trying to damage your business but hoping to see some improvement. Personally, I have been eating sashimi for the past 30 years. I know what is fresh and what is not. Trust me it was not aroma from the fat and tuna was very moosh. I would have fixed my review to more positive if you have admitted and promise for the improvement. Well... you lost one local customer now.

Excellent food, great service, online ordering and payment, a modern gem with traditional values.During the pandemic the restaurant was converted to takeaway only. The food continues to be absolutely excellent.If you haven't been back for a while, the kitchen has grown and the counter moved into what used to be the dining space.There is a bench to wait for your order. Service is quick.

Nice chicken teriyaki bento box. Average size but great taste. However for $4.3 an ice cold tea I thought that was expensive and extra $1 for Miso soup. The Yokine is much better value.

Got the pork katsu curry and miso soup and it was excellent, will definitely be returning to Hiro!

The food tasted amazing. Was the best I have had in years UNTIL .. I found a blow fly in my udon noodles. After eating a third of my way through and enjoying it. Everyone stopped eating at that point.Was really disappointed but feel like it could be a random one off thing.However when I rang to let them know (politely and not angry or rude), their response was “and um, what?”So while it may have just been a freak thing, I think they didn’t make any attempt to apologise or even acknowledge my report.Take your chances ?
